28-30 Aug: Camping @ Forge Wood

We are returning to Forge Wood in Sussex.

Forge Wood around the fire

CFS and our friends at 57 West are returning to Forge Wood this August.

Buried deep within the Sussex countryside, Forge Wood will give you a chance to unwind and make friends, as we camp, cook and laugh our way through the week.

There will also be time for badger watching; exploring life from a Christian perspective; fire lighting; woodland walks, great food and even better company.

Regular Forge Wood goer and member of CFS, Daren, said, “Forge Wood is the perfect place to relax, reflect and have fun. The first time I went the idea of camping was scary. But, CFS did a great job in lending me a tent and once there I had an amazing time!”

When is it?

We will leave Southend at lunchtime on Tuesday 28th August and return around 4:00 pm on Thursday 30th August.

Who can come?

This trip is for those aged 18 and over. We’d love both those who have been many times before, and those who have never heard of it, to join us. There are only 15-20 spaces, so book now or you might miss out.

How do I get there?

If you can bring a car, that would be a huge help. If not, we have a minibus and car lists available. Please be sure to reserve your transport place at the time of booking.

How do I book?

You can book your place today by downloading the form below. It costs £10 if you are not in employment and £25 if you are earning. Be sure to get your money to CFS as soon as possible.

What should I bring?

The price includes camping equipment, food, travel, plates, cutlery and chairs. Be sure to reserve what you need at the time of booking, and if you can bring your own campaign equipment, that would be great.

You will also need to bring: a waterproof coat, warm clothes, torch and shoes. Beware that it can get cold at night, so prepare to wrap up warm!

Please don’t bring any alcohol; this is a dry weekend.
