Are you ready?
Grab your sleeping bag, pack your torch, and prepare for bonfires: Fire Camp is back.
Following the success of 2017, Fire Camp is happening again from the 27th to 31st July 2018.
Buried away on the east coast of Mersea Island, Essex, FireCamp is not your usual Baptist gathering. Its committed to exploring faith as a community of co-creators, unearthing new ways to relate to each other, and the world, as we look to follow Jesus.
While camping in the fields of a 50-acre private farm, you will have time to explore the local coastline; make pizzas; take part in craft activities and relax in the afternoon sun (weather permitting – of course).
CFS member, Matt, described last years experience as a “fantastic opportunity to make friends, learn about Jesus and eat great food – all while enjoying the beautiful farm and coastline.“
How did Fire Camp begin?
Fire Camp was started by CFS with friends from a church in Stoke and the support of individuals from across the Baptist network. For 2018, embodying the essence of co-creation, CFS has passed on the running of the camp to those very individuals and churches that were involved from the start. However, a group of us from CFS will still be going, and we can’t wait to see how it has developed.
