We inducted Ivan into the leadership of CFS on 21 November to work alongside Peter. It was standing room only for the celebration.
Saturday 21st came and went - the building at Clarence Road Baptist church, Southend was full to bursting point as people from CFS, Cranbrook Baptist Church, and other churches, people from Southend, friends and family came together to celebrate the induction, "revving up" and commissioning of Ivan and Peter for the next phase of CFS.
It was an amazing event with a jigsaw puzzle in CFS style which signified the coming together of the different parts, words of encouragement from Sheila Martin (our Regional Minister) and a chance for Ivan & Nikki's friends from Ilford to say goodbye and wish him well in his new endeavour.
We now know that Ivan and Nikki love chocolate and cake!
And £161 was raised for the Homeless Centre through donations for the free popcorn and candyfloss.

Thanks to MGM inflatables for providing the candyfloss and popcorn machines cheaply, and a huge, huge thank you to all those who helped with Saturday to make it happen and to all those who brought food!

The jigsaw puzzle comes together with the six pieces representing the important stories under God's great big story of his love. The pieces were:
1. Peter and Alison
2. Southend - made by users of the homeless centre
3. Churches of the region - made by Sheila our Regional Minister
4. Church from Scratch - made by the group on the Kursaal Estate
5. Ivan and Nikki
6. Cranbrook Baptist Church - made by their youth group
