Eleven Baptist churches took part in last year's pilot scheme, now thanks to a Mission Grant this is becoming a national Baptist resource for Easter 2011 as CFS works with a soon to be announced national partner.

A new evangelistic and discipleship tool for your church and congregation this Easter so they can follow the Passion story of Jesus in a series of riveting text messages to their mobile phone through Holy Week. And it's free.! This resource combines the power of story-telling, the truth of the Easter story, and many carry a mobile in their pockets. This scheme sets out to empower the local church to be at the centre.

How does it work?

1. You create a unique page for your church on the website using your church logo and words. It's very simple and quick to do.
2. You invite your church and their friends to sign up to receive the story of Easter by text messages.
3. From Passover Sunday until Easter Sunday the system inspires your people with a real time telling of the Easter story by about 40 text messages.
4. Imagine people arriving at your church on Easter Sunday having received this Passion experience, the story of Easter in real time.

Some great extras:

1. Artwork to download and use or printed materials to order. We intend to offer these personalised to your church.
2. As church leader we intend that you will be able to send an extra text message to those who subscribed through your page inviting them to your Easter events. We may make a small for these messages of about 10p/person.
3. We will be announcing a national partner shortly who will be adding additional resources to Jesus Live Time.
4. For those who want to go techie (ignore this if you don't) there will be Facebook, Twitter and email versions and ways to embed signup and the real time Easter messages in your church website.
