8 of us and 8 from the homeless centre in Westcliff shared a camping weekend in September 2009. The venue was Forge Wood in Sussex.
The two groups new each other a little through the Sign Language BSL course we run at the homeless centre. And we were soon good friends.
The venue a wood with log fire to cook on. No shower block here!
Hilights included walks in the wood wwith siting of deer, the cooking of a gorgeous green curry, getting to know each other, learngin sign langauge, splitting logs and doing a little forestry. (Camping on lilos that went flat in the night?)
By the way, the picture at the top of this article was written with torches in the dark at Forge Wood after many attempts...
